Reflecting on the relationships that can be established between the use of social networks by adolescents and their implications in physical development for them, is the purpose of this article. The systematization of investigations that are identified as antecedents of the present study, as well as the practical exploration in the institutions bilingual delta educational unit and educational unit Monte Tabor Nazaret schools of Guayaquil, which allowed the authors to expand the information and to intentionally analyze the function to contribute to teachers, parents and the adolescents critical reflection. The results which are presented constitute an important part of the data that contributed questionnaires and group discussions which allowed confirming theoretical and practical ideas.
