CALDERON ORTIZ, Gilberto; ZAMORA FONSECA, Raquel y MEDINA RUIZ, Geidy. HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2017, vol.9, n.3, pp. 310-319. ISSN 2218-3620.
Education is a formative process whose objective is to prepare the graduates, be they the level that they acquire for their insertion in the processes of reproduction that the system demands, be they economic, social, ideological, political or other. The present research aims to describe the behavior of higher education in the context of globalization in any part of the world. It addresses the social problems of the university community and socialist and capitalist society in general, the current ways they have to develop, the new and old challenges that have them. Methodologically, the study is descriptive with a mixed approach, combining methods and techniques to achieve the proposed objectives. Among the results achieved, it was found that while there is greater development of the productive forces and social relations, the greater the ecological impact and the earth, despite the limited efforts to stop the ecocide, will become an uninhabitable paramo. It was possible to conclude that the research carried out by academics and students should establish work plans involving specialists in the hard sciences, as well as those that address the problems of health, medicine, among others, and it is concluded by ratifying that the Education is a formative process of cadres that societies divided between dominant and dominated and among the former are all those who live thanks to the efforts of the majorities.
