The present article focuses its study on the habit of reading in the professional of the career of Educational Sciences. For its solution was proposed as a goal: actions aimed at encouraging the habit of reading in students. It was used the analytic-synthetic, inductive-deductive methods, the transit from the abstract to the concrete, the analysis of documents, the survey, the interview and the observation. It offers the conceptual theoretical framework, the methodological criteria that constitutes the basis of the proposal of actions with an interdisciplinary focus, in correspondence with the profile of the professional. The implementation in practice, showed the effectiveness of the proposal to reach a qualitatively superior level in knowledge, to know what to do and to know how to be.
