Socio-economic and cultural injustices have traditionally placed on disadvantages against other groups. To banish them is necessary to produce economic transformations and changes in social patterns that produce changes in the selfconsciousness of all. Violence against women is a scourge since the beginning of the history of mankind up to our time. In particular, violence against women exists in every public and private spaces and it assumes various forms, from verbal violence to its most extreme form, femicide. Gender-based violence is based on conflict built from the asymmetry in power relations, gender-based. It should be understood from the social relations in which they arise. It is a plural and historical social relationship. It is understood as a violation of the human rights. This work aims to show the dominating role of the Academy through the processes of research and relates them with the society in the social transformations and changes of conduct of the citizens, starting from theoretical studies and actions of training that integrate to them social actors involved in the theme in communities of the municipality of Machala.
