Abstract

The calculation of the percentages of the oxides CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3 and SO3 in the clinker is an interesting and very useful topic at the present time, because with the knowledge of these percentages, the mineral phases of the clinker can be calculated in the production cement, based on the above, the fundamental objective of the following research is to obtain a group of 5 equations that allow predicting the percentages of the aforementioned oxides in the production of clinker of the Mixed Enterprise "Cementos Cienfuegos SA" (CCSA) located in the province of Cienfuegos, and with it to influence in the reduction of the damages derived from the process of manufacture of the mentioned product. Currently, the calculation is made from the use of laboratory instruments in the clinker already produced, but the interest of the specialists is to perform the same before obtaining the clinker and from the percentages of the oxides in the raw material for making decisions in the production process, guaranteeing the quality of the product and a decrease in losses due to low quality productions and damage to the environment, hence the need to estimate the models of the relationship between the percentages of every oxide in the raw material and in the clinker. The models estimated by the simple linear regression analysis are very useful in the control of clinker quality. They are corroborated in terms of their statistical validity, stability and precision, and they influence the reduction of environmental damage caused by the process of manufacture of the product.
