The present work fits to an explanatory investigation which aim at analyzing the sustainability of the industrial wastes management. The documental analysis was mainly used for its preparation allowing to value the state of the art of the subject. It is held that the sustainability analysis should be made from an Ecological Economics approach because of the indicators of traditional economy aren’t entirely adequate to examine the complexity of this phenomena. The conceptual elements of life cycle analysis and energy analysis are established as Ecological Economics’ instruments to analyze the industrial wastes management systems but justified in its limitations, it is proposed its integration using multi criteria evaluation methods. As a final result of the investigation, it was formulated a methodological procedure for the sustainability analysis of these systems.
