Real-time monitoring of residential electricity consumption that allows its proper management. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.2, pp. 218-222. Epub 02-Abr-2020. ISSN 2218-3620.
The poor reading of the meter that records the electrical consumption or excess of electrical consumption per home appliance that already fulfilled its half -life, can generate economic problems for the users, since these are not directly visible. This work aims to design a real-time monitoring system of electricity consumption for its management by the user. For the implementation, a network of non-invasive current sensors connected to an analogue-to-digital signal converter was used and its data collection by means of the Raspberry Pi minicomputer which will process them for later visualization by open source software Grafana. The results demonstrate a high percentage of the correct functionality of the prototype with real -time responses and measurements comparable to commercial systems, giving the user the tools to take actions to save energy.
