One of the most important activities on the web is the search for information, in that sense the big technology companies have implemented several strategies in order to improve the user's experience, one of these is to apply fuzzy logic in the process. The present work is a descriptive exploration of the state of the art in the application of fuzzy logic in the search and retrieval of information on the Internet through search engines and meta-searches. A qualitative and heuristic analysis of the most important and recent data is made, evaluating the current and future situation of the application of this computer technology in search engines and meta-search engines, concluding its importance and influence in both hardware and software.
