RODRIGUEZ LARA, Angélica Dora; BENALCAZAR PALADINES, Mónica Elizabeth; POZO HERNANDEZ, Fanny Maricela  y  SOZA MERO, Karen Dayanet. China a favorable or unfavorable alliance for Latin America and its influence on the economy of Ecuador. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.4, pp. 275-280.  Epub 02-Ago-2020. ISSN 2218-3620.

This research shows an analysis of economic thought, such as its main theories on globalization from the 20th century to the present day and the various areas it covers; Like its influence in Latin America and the rest of the world, it also studies the different activities undertaken by the People's Republic of China that it has carried out to intertwine commercial and socio-political ties with the member countries of the Pacific Alliance for the periods 2000-2019. In this sense, an investigation was developed in which theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were used, and then alliances and negotiations with the Republic of Ecuador are addressed and how these affect its economy, whether positively or negatively, especially in the production area, emphasizing its large infrastructure works and the importation of goods, since Ecuador becomes less competitive compared to products imported from China, which due to their low costs have great acceptance in the Ecuadorian market, which may increase or deepen the economic crisis that this country is experiencing at the present time.

Palabras clave : China; Latin America; Ecuador; globalization; treaties; economy.
