REYES HERNANDEZ, Javier. Transforming the culture of organizations: a challenge from the generative appreciative inquiring. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.4, pp. 363-370. Epub 02-Ago-2020. ISSN 2218-3620.
The article presented is the result of the application of a socio-psychological training program in a state-owned service company, and it is preceded by a diagnosis of its organizational culture. Its fundamental objective is to contribute to the strengthening of cultural patterns such as communication, interpersonal relationships and leadership. Generative appreciative inquiry is the methodological reference from which this program starts. Its importance lies in the possibility of establishing complementarity between traditional approaches when it comes to organizational culture and social constructionism as an emerging paradigm. Furthermore, the training program is based on the aspirations and expectations of the subjects, it is they who decide what to transform and how to do it. Another novelty lies in the possibility of articulating appreciative inquiry and generative dialogues in its design, which contributes to promoting, in the organization, dialogues that create multiple positive possibilities and move it towards a desired future.
