The paper proposes reflection on an issue that impacts journalism anywhere in the world to be exercised: the factors that mediate their interpretation of reality. Such problems in the Cuban context has many peculiar ways to manifest as proposals for the media agenda is increasingly recognized on the public agenda. The practice of audiovisual journalism, determined by the nature of the sign that supports the TV image, introduces additional complexity to the problem addressed. The author grants ethics and professional honesty as important as the domain of linguistic codes of the medium, in order to form clear and important messages that enable citizens to orient themselves amidst the challenges of life in a modern society.
