The University Extension whose purpose is to promote culture in its broadest sense, in the university and its environment, contributes to social transformation. Developing and sustaining the cultural movement in the institution is one of the goals of this process, which is why it works in a coordinated way with the students of the University of Havana, thus contributing to their integral formation as human beings. To achieve this objective, the "Culture Cup" Project, the object of this work, has been implemented for 21 years by the University Student Federation Directorate and the University Extension Directorate of this institution, through which the movement of amateur artists, the management and development of activities and projects for cultural promotion and community work are promoted. The implementation and constant evaluation and adjustment of the Project "Cup of Culture", with the student leadership, has allowed to enhance the university cultural movement, oriented to educational work that promotes the elevation of the cultural level of society from the participation of the person as an active agent of their own development.
