In Cienfuegos, access to aspects related to water supply sources is difficult, which limits not only the teacher training of those involved, but also risk management. The objective of the research is to characterize the water supply sources of the municipality of Cienfuegos, for incorporation as a consultation document. A comprehensive documentary review is carried out that includes the database and water balances of the hydraulic sector in the province, as well as 14 key informants were consulted (7 on the subject of health, hygiene and epidemiology and 7 on integrated management of water for consumption human) with which it also performs brainstorming and focus group techniques. As a result, a reference material for research is obtained.
