This scientific article of bibliographic review has allowed us to analyze the complexity involved in causes and determinants of violence in the school environment. For this, methods such as analytic-synthetic, historical-logical, and exegetical were used, which allowed us to analyze school violence from its definitions and types to its dimension of phenomenon and social complexity. Achieving then, determine the impact that education and the creation of values ​​have on the human being, as a weapon to confront and mitigate violence now, in the school environment, this being, without a doubt, a complex problem.
