Technological, economic, cultural and social changes lead to changes in the management of university processes, especially the substantive processes of higher education. The use of social networks as entertainment spaces can and should be used for educational spaces, where messages that positively influence human behavior are promoted, in this context the extension process requires updating in its management. The objective of this work is to analyze the role of university extension in the current context to contribute to individual and collective transformation as part of the social mission of higher education. The university extension, starting from the context, must make its mechanisms of action more flexible, so that its management contributes to increasing the cultural heritage, artistic and literary appreciation, consensual and respectful dialogue, respect for peace, and the capacity to act according to of the profession and of humanity.
