This article deals with one of the problems that education has had to face in the current conditions generated by COVID-19, the treatment of Distance Education, addressing the theoretical underpinnings of the teaching-learning process of Higher Education and the use of the Lesson Study methodology. The objective of the work is to develop a didactic strategy for the implementation of the Lesson study methodology that contributes to strengthening virtual skills in the San Vicente Support Center of the National University of Education, Ecuador. Theoretical and empirical methods were used for them. The diagnosis carried out supports the need for the research proposal, while 57.1% of the teachers surveyed prefer blendedness, distance or virtual education, even though 43.8% stated that 25% of their students, or less, are those who have the technological resources to do so. A didactic strategy organized in two stages was developed: theoretical-methodological formulation and methodological organization. The strategy is accompanied by a didactic-methodological action plan that establishes digital tools for the work of Distance and Virtual Education, which will allow organizing the curricular methodological design and strengthening teaching capacities through social transformation from the university.
