Abstract

GONZALEZ CAPOTE, Dailit; SOLER GONZALEZ, Rafael Humberto  and  NAVARRO MOSQUERA, Narda. The quality philosophy and its controversial terms. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.5, pp. 445-455.  Epub Oct 02, 2021. ISSN 2218-3620.

The objective of this work is to clarify some terms that are commonly used when talking about quality, since there are untimely terms that produce a confusion in the linkage of the quality culture. The text uses descriptive studies based on a logical historical method that allows treating quality as a system with well-defined sections in space and time. The study includes actions in favor of quality that are not part of the philosophy of quality, but they helped to formalize important documents for human beings. An outline is made of the ISO 9000 family and its emergence and further development. Finally, the different quality terms were clarified, and the stages are differentiated without confusion.

Keywords : Quality; philosophy; standards.
