The system of methodological activities for teacher improvement in higher medical education directly contributes to the appropriate guidance of teachers for the improvement of their teaching skills. This article aims to highlight the importance and usefulness of teacher guidance and modeling as a scientific method, with the intention of contributing to the improvement of teachers for the execution of the teaching assistance visit pass. Although the importance and necessity of student orientation is well recognized, it must also be recognized that teacher orientation is a necessary condition for achieving adequate student orientation; Likewise, the need to contribute to the configuration in teachers of a mental representation of the visitation of the teaching assistance, through the improvement of orientation as a didactic route, leads to the recognition of modeling as a method for the fulfillment of the proposed objective.
