The study was carried out in the Business Group of the Sidero Mechanical Industry (OSDE GESIME), with the aim of guiding the process of evaluating the impact of training in the companies that comprise it and later in the country, based on a methodology. Theoretical and methodological references of the evaluation of the impact of training and management by competencies in labor entities were analyzed. The training process of the Business Group of the Sidero Mechanical Industry (OSDE GESIME) system was characterized in relation to impact evaluation, showing shortcomings and, therefore, the need to direct it to a strategic, systemic and integrating approach. The proposal constituted a flexible guide for systematic work for feedback and continuous improvement of the training and development process for companies, based on current training management procedures, to contribute to the development of human resources and the effectiveness of organizational results.
