The simulation of virtual hearings is one of the most important practical learning activities in Law degree. Its execution contributes to the development of competences, according to the educational and pedagogical model and the professional profile of the lawyer trained at UMET, Ecuador. The transition to virtuality has imposed changes in the methodological approaches about this activity. The analysis of this fact is the main purpose of the current paper. Virtual hearings have established in the Ecuadorian law. By this reason, the development of the simulation as practical learning activity is very useful and necessary to strenght the competences of the future lawyers. The study follows a descriptive perspective, using the general methods of investigation: analitical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and observation as empirical method.
