The transitional changes of the profession in Colombia, led to the need to find relationships between the disciplinary and professional tendencies of Colombian social work education with the needs and interests of the labor market from the academy. The study was carried out under the qualitative descriptive method. Documentary research, whose technique was the analysis of content located in technical matrices. The unit of analysis corresponded to 25 academic units in contrast to 22 intervention scenarios. The information is systematized through the Atlasti Software. It was identified that there is a relationship between the programs and projects implemented by national and international institutions and the epistemological perspectives of training; however, intervention in rural development is a recognized debt in the curricula.
