Acupuncture is a technique of traditional Chinese medicine used for therapeutic purposes. The investigations carried out prove that acupuncture triggers immunomodulation processes, causing effects on innate immunity and acquired immunity. Therefore, its use as alternative medicine has been very useful over the years to treat the symptomatology of various diseases, among the most recent and remarkable pathologies is the COVID-19 Pandemic, for it is being used as a complementary therapy in each of the stages of evolution of this disease, from the phases of medical observation to clinical treatment and through the recovery process.
