The drying of aromatic or medicinal herbs is carried out by exposing them to the sun or to the flow of hot air, and to heat the flow of air it is carried out by: heat exchange when burning fuel, heating electrical resistance or heating metal collectors to the solar radiation; The objectives of the research were met: temperature regulation at 40°C, relative humidity regulation at 11% inside the solar collector and a dry mass of lemon verbena less than 30% of its original weight was achieved. in a time of four hours and 40 minutes, with the flat solar dryer with PID control of the temperature and relative humidity inside the dryer; the electronic circuit for measuring the temperature and relative humidity allowed the collection of data in real time on an LCD liquid crystal indicator, passing the information to a spreadsheet record, with the data and the SPSS software the hypotheses were validated of the investigation.
