Resumen

GAVE CHAGUA, José Luis. Heat treatment of 1050a aluminum strip from continuous casting and hot rolling. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.2, pp. 610-616.  Epub 02-Abr-2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The work was developed in order to establish the differences in the behavior in the recrystallization of 1050A aluminum, coming from thin sheets obtained with sketches of continuous casting and sketches of hot rolling, The experimental method was used, cold rolling to obtain thin sheets of 0.1; 0.2 and 0.5 mm. thick respectively, these thin sheets were subsequently subjected to heat treatments in order to find the recrystallization temperature and study the respective metallographic properties. After preparing the anodized metallographic specimens in hydrofluoric acid solution, the microscopically observed results show the recrystallized grains of 1050A aluminum, concluding that the recrystallization of the aluminum strips manufactured from continuous casting (BCC), has similarity with the recrystallization of the strips manufactured from hot rolling (HRC) but differ in the process of supersaturation and simultaneity of precipitation. Likewise, the microstructural analysis shows that the characteristics of 1050A aluminum CCBs have superior mechanical properties than those of HRC. The recrystallized fine bands from CCBs are in the form of large and irregular grains, while those from HRC have smaller and regular grains.

Palabras clave : Aluminum; recrystallization; continuous casting.
