This article proposes a study of the human potential to lift the Higher Education Institution quality standards. The Scientific File is highlight like indispensable tool for the perfecting of the teachers and the management of the scientific potential in Higher EducationSince optics of development and growth of the institution, the Scientific File is considered as memory written of the scientific activity, testimony of the professional performance of the teachers at the construction of the history of the Cuba's academical institutions. This is an indispensable tool for the teacher's performance, the functioning of the races and national certification of programs of per-grade and post-grade's programs. It is boarding the documentary patrimony and the used techniques for his conservation and his visualization, as theories anchored to the analysis in the university context, concretely in the management suitable of the scientific files. It is offered too an exploratory study about the use of the information and communication technologies in the management and conservation of the documentation that treasure the university academician's Scientific File.
