The use of digital technologies in education has been growing in recent years, and natural sciences are no exception. The purpose of this article was to analyze the perception of secondary school students in Ecuador on the use of digital technologies in the teaching of natural sciences and their impact on learning. A quantitative approach of cross-sectional scope was used, through a questionnaire applied to a representative sample of students in Ecuador. The questionnaire allowed us to have a perception of their usefulness in the teaching of natural sciences and their opinions on the positive and negative aspects of the use of these tools. The results of the research showed that students have widespread access to digital technologies, and that they use these tools frequently, suggesting that the use of digital technologies has a positive impact on the learning of natural sciences in Ecuador. Digital technologies offer students learning opportunities that are not available in traditional teaching, and can help to improve the understanding of scientific concepts.
