In the present work is considered pertinent in order to remember that research is among the substantive functions of the university, and it requires all the teaching staff, as well as the students to contribute to solve the problems that are generated, both inside and outside of the university context. That is why it is important to know the characteristics of scientific textual construction, and master the features of writing as an epistemic tool that allows the construction of knowledge, in which textual typology and specialized terminology are implied. These premises were taken into account to elaborate and apply the postgraduate course, on the basis that in order to be able to express themselves, both orally and in writing, researchers must have the linguistic resources that enable them to communicate in the language of science. The article aims to offer a theoretical assessment of the resources that both teachers and students must have in order to be able to construct scientific texts, with the proper requirements, for their subsequent publication. The bibliographic review, in addition to the professional practice for years, made possible to deepen in this type of written scientific text, to analyze its difficulties and to offer recommendations.
