The quality of healthcare services is a relevant topic worldwide in the scientific field. Research in this field covers different aspects including the assessment of the environment of patients, caregivers and healthcare personnel. This article aims to examine research focused on the evaluation of the quality of health services and to highlight the main trends in this area. To achieve this objective, a review of the scientific literature published in recognized databases, such as Scopus and Redalyc, was carried out. A total of 1303 peer-reviewed articles were selected using relevant keywords, from which 18 were finally chosen for detailed study. The results obtained have significant potential for improving conditions in healthcare facilities. Both positive and negative aspects were identified in the evaluation of the quality of healthcare services, including general hospital activities, nursing care, information systems, medical tourism services, medical services based on new technologies, and prosthetic treatment. This research provides an overview of the key areas that influence the quality of health services and highlights the importance of addressing multiple dimensions in their evaluation.
