The professional activity of educational management constitutes a task of great significance, at the same time it is complex, as it essentially has the transformative nature of society, from the contextual diversity and conditions, which is influenced by multiple factors. The objective of this work is to reveal the characteristics of said management activity, which guides the performance of education managers. The study focuses its methodology on the review of documentary sources, to interpret and evaluate relevant investigations, and at the same time experiences are systematized together with in-depth interviews. The functions that must be fulfilled are determined, in terms of scientific-methodological and administrative technical contents, which contribute to the achievement of the general aims and objectives of education. These functions are developed through a specific work system at each management level, in accordance with economic and social demands until the year 2030. The work seeks to support the understanding of the work of education managers, highlighting the importance of their professional pedagogical activity and their role in fulfilling educational objectives in order to contribute to raising the quality of education.
