This research article aims to know and analyze the situation of the existing work motivation among administrative workers belonging to an Academic Division of a Public University in southern Mexico and its influence on customer service. It is a study of an administrative topic, the problem was addressed with a non-experimental study under a quantitative and correlational approach for which a Likert scale questionnaire was designed, which was applied to 34 administrative staff. The results obtained, in addition to measuring the correlation between the study variables, also allow obtaining an overview of the reality of what the employees' motivation is going through and, likewise, observing the trends, weaknesses, and strengths that impact the organizational environment present in the areas administrative of this educational entity, being a reference for later studies and also a point of comparison.
