Abstract

AVILES FRANCO, Sandra María; TOMALA VERGARA, Christian Francisco; CAVAGNARO MURILLO, Carlos Xavier  and  ALONSO HERNANDEZ, Irán. Emergencies of implementing pedagogical models to teach from the paradigm of complexity. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2025, vol.17, n.3  Epub June 30, 2025. ISSN 2218-3620.

This article reflects on the need to educate in complex thinking in order to solve the urgent emerging problems affecting today's world. Based on the existence of various manifestations of complexity as a science, as a way of thinking, and as a worldview, a bibliographic review is made of the evolution of proposals for complexity education since the mid-20th century, showing their differences with non-complex education models. An analysis is then made of Edward Morin's proposals on how to introduce complexity education based on his proposals for the 8 types of knowledge.

Keywords : Complexity; Emerging problems; Knowledge.
