RABASSA OLAZABAL, Glenia  e  PEREZ MARTINEZ, Amaury. Needs, limitations and projections of studies of business opportunities in the sugar industry. cen. az. [online]. 2015, vol.42, n.3, pp. 1-9. ISSN 2223-4861.

Paradigms, concepts and theories used in the study of the new economy apparently are the same as those used in the old economy. The novelty lies in new applications, clarifications and developments of the traditional theoretical framework. Although the study of the impact of new technologies on companies increasingly becomes more important, there are still many unexplored aspects in this new field of knowledge. One of the main aspects, from the point of view of business management, is the identification of business models and with it, the business opportunities and sources of value that generates the business project. The main objective of this work is to carry out an analysis of the business models and identify what might be the main tools to take into account when selecting the best business opportunities. For this, we analyzed the academic literature, we studied the presented business models, and we conclude with a strategy for the selection of business opportunities that brings the necessary steps in the context of the current Cuban agro-industrial economy.

Palavras-chave : business model; strategy; competition; innovation; business opportunity.
