Each year the need to make different types of evaluations that have an applying character of knowledge and no reproductive is stronger so that the personal effort of the student is decisive in the evaluation. In the article, it is presented the experience of the applying of the award examinations in the last five years of the subject General Chemistry, and those corresponding to the last two years of the subject Inorganic Chemistry in the Radiochemistry Specialty taught in the Higher Institute of Technologies and Applied Sciences (InSTEC) with a developing perspective. The evaluation of the results was made through a survey among the students who were involved and also through interviews to professors of the Radiochemistry Department of the Faculty of Sciences and Nuclear Technologies of InSTEC. The evaluation reflects a high level of acceptation on the applying form of the examination with positive repercussions on the independence cognition of the students.
