LICEA-JIMENEZ, Irina et al. Reformulación de la solución de hipoclorito de sodio al 1 % para su producción en tiempos de contingenciaReformulation of sodium hypochlorite solution 1 % as des-infective agent to be produced during contingence times. Rev Cub Quim [online]. 2018, vol.30, n.3, pp.379-399. ISSN 2224-5421.

The geographic situation of Cuba makes it vulnerable to contingency situations causing direct impacts into quality and water availability. The goal of this study consist in the reformulation of sodium hypochlorite 1%, using drinkable water of the different sources supplies from Santiago de Cuba municipality (Quintero, San Juan, Parada and the hydraulic net), selecting the best formulation by it quality and pharmaceutical stability. Waters and pharmaceutical formulation were analyzed in its quality according to the Cubans standards. Hypochlorite stability was analyzed using those quality control parameters at 0, 7, 14, 21 and 30 days. Results prove that the waters with closer behavior to distilled one are Quintero and hydraulic generating the best formulations. It is suggested a mathematical factor that allows to correcting chlorine concentration based in the values of conductivity and pH.
