Resumen

GARCIA-RODRIGUEZ, Agustín  y  HERNANDEZ-TOUSET, Juan Pedro. Conceptual Design System for the Intensive Cultivation of Seaweeds. RTQ [online]. 2012, vol.32, n.2, pp.169-179. ISSN 2224-6185.

In the initial studies of a strategy of environmental technology assessment of the project of a technology for Urea production in the region of Calicito, at Cienfuegos bay; the contamination for CO2, caused by the emission of a considerable surplus of the gas the main is identified as the main environmental impact. The result of the technological assessment is a project for the reduction of CO2 pollution, by means of its capture in the coastal region near to a fertilizer plant, able to consume the residual daily production of CO2 of the fertilizer plant in process of investment. The selection of the appropriate specie of alga, keeping in mind the studies of characterization and morphology of algae in Cuba, abundance, resistance and keeping bigger emphasis in the Ulval species, was carried out. In this work the preliminary studies are presented that include the mass balance; a preliminary proposal of a biorreactor design for intensive algae culture, using industrial CO2 as the main row material in the production of alga biomass for biofuel production, animal feeding, and chemical and natural products of high value added for the Cuban economy.

Palabras clave : marine algae; culture; biorreactor.
