ALCALA-GALIANO MORELL, Diana D. et al. Enzymatic production of biodiesel from lignocellulosic biomass. RTQ [online]. 2018, vol.38, n.1, pp. 138-152. ISSN 2224-6185.
The use of the available lignocellulosic biomass in our country is a significant source of renewable energy (SRE) for the socio-economic development planned for the next years. The relevance of the work in this direction has been countersigned in the national SRE policy approved by our state in 2014. Within the chemical diverse routes to follow for producing useful energy, the biofuels production stands out of great importance face the growing demand of the transport sector. In this work we discuss the research strategy and technological development necessary to create conditions allowing the production of lignocellulosic bioethanol and biodiesel. It is shown, how the development of lignocellulosic biofuels it is the friendliest way to environment and it also constitutes a work that will allow developing several products of added high value that could be source of exports or substitutions of imports. The production of microbial oil, of fermentable liquors, of lipase biocatalysts and cellulose from lignocellulosic residuals contributes to the reduction of the raw material costs, main component of the cost of bioethanol and the biodiesel. Due to this realityit is very attractive work in the development of Biorefineries, of invaluable economic potential for the country. The proposal of research strategy can be the starting point of numerous investigations that will contribute to the success of the national strategy of renewable sources of energies.
