ABSTRACT The natural drying process of lateritic ore is performed in the nickel company "Commander Ernesto Che Guevara" of Moa. However, the technology used has limitations because, among other things, it does not consider its mathematical modeling. To solve the above problem, it was developed in this paper -using the Borland Delphi Enterprise software- the computer application "Sec Solar" which is based on the implementation of mathematical models of the process. Finally, the moisture distribution experienced by the material was calculated with the created application, for stockpiles of ore with similar geometric characteristics to those used in the nickel industry. The results are consistent with those reported in previous research. It is therefore evident that “Sec Solar" application is satisfactory for the purposes it was conceived.
