In domain engineering, ensuring the quality of business process modeling has a decisive influence on the software development cycle. The use of computational tools that apply practical guidelines of quality help to guarantee the quality of modeling. Evaluate BPMN business process models by applying practical quality guidelines related to design, labeling, morphology and size. For the analysis, business process models are used and converted into directed graphs represented in adjacency lists. Each component of the process corresponds to a node of the graph and the streams of sequences are the edges that join nodes; the names of nodes correspond to the components’ identifier, achieving that all the components are represented by nodes. In the implementation the Strategy design pattern is used. The tool obtained has as input business process models created with Bonita or Bizagi and proposes changes in the visualization of the models from their evaluation using practical modeling guidelines and associated measures to guarantee a good quality of the models. A tool that applies practical quality guidelines and measures to evaluate business process models and detect errors based on their visualization is obtained. In addition, it contributes to the teaching of business process modeling topics.
