GARCIA JANE, Lisardo; SANCHEZ AGUILERA, Yasmany y GARCIA RODRIGUEZ, Ana Marys. Knowledge bases for risk management in project-oriented organizations: a systematic review. RCCI [online]. 2024, vol.18, n.1 Epub 01-Mar-2024. ISSN 2227-1899.
Risk management is critical to the success of project-oriented organizations. One practical way to manage potential risks is through the use of knowledge bases. In this article, using Kitchenham's methodology as a guide for conducting systematic reviews, the importance of using knowledge bases for risk management in project-oriented organizations is discussed. Key benefits of using knowledge bases are highlighted, including increased accuracy in risk identification, improved decision making, time and resource savings, and increased transparency and communication within the project team. Kitchenham's methodology can be used as a systematic review technique to assess the quality of existing studies on the use of knowledge bases for project risk management. The main result of this article is the identification of some limiting factors of the non-use of knowledge bases in risk management assumed in project-oriented organizations.
