The investigation has shown that the second American intervention was one of the most significant processes of the first two decades of the Cuban Republican stage, since they tried to readjust the mechanisms of American domination on the island. The research project aims to analyze the actions that were developed in the old province of the East to deal with the second American intervention. Given the qualitative nature of the investigation, a study of the explanatory level was chosen and the fundamental method used was the historical-logical. It was found that not all political parties participated in the platform subordination, there was resistance and struggle for national sovereignty in the ancient province of the east of the country. Highlighting a radical minority of the mambisado with the Marquis de Santa Lucia, as one of its representatives and the Provincial Manager of the East of General Rafael Portuondo Tamayo as its greatest exponent.
