In Cuba, 10 % of people aged 65 years and over are living with dementia, mainly Alzheimer's disease. The aim of this review is to provide information about the impact of COVID 19 on one of the most vulnerable groups in the population, people with dementia, and to provide useful recommendations to healthcare professionals, families and caregivers. The search was run in august 2020 of the literature on the subject published between January 10 and July 30, 2020, which included the databases (PubMed / MEDLINE, EMBASE, Lilacs, SciELO and Cochrane CENTRAL, using the terms “Alzheimer”, OR “ dementia ”, OR “aging” AND “COVID-19”, AND “Coronavirus” and pandemia”.
