Resumen

CORREA ESCRIBANO, Mayda; HERNANDEZ COMPANIONI, José Carlos  y  LOREDO CARBALLO, Néstor. The Ecotourism Production Chain, a Contribution to Local Development. Rev retos [online]. 2017, vol.11, n.1, pp. 147-171. ISSN 2306-9155.

The aim of this research was to implement a procedure for the development of the production chain of ecotourism, as a contribution to local development. For that purpose, the fundaments of development were established, based on explicit key factors of their evolution and implementation of transformation actions. The techniques used were, document review, open unstructured interviews to specialists and entrepreneurs, observation, structural system and triangulation. Additionally, the Statistic Program for Social Sciences, 20.0, the Kendall coefficient, structural analysis of matrix cross-reference-multiplication applied to classification, and the alliance and conflict matrix: tactics, objectives, and recommendations. Its application in the municipality of Bartolomé Masó, in the province of Granma, Cuba, proved the viability of the procedure, confirmed the possibilities to develop the production chain of local ecotourism, and helped solve the theoretical and practical deficiencies found.

Palabras clave : production network; natural tourism; local development.
