Abstract

A description of the spin-off strategic design was made according to the following dimensions: sector/local and university in Mexico, as a way to encourage efficacy in higher education institutions in Latin America. As a result, the local spin-off organizations associated to higher education have contributed to stronger finances, research and employment. Furthermore, they meet the requirements of the major university guidelines and stimulate efficacy of higher education, by consolidating ties with companies that operate within universities.
