The article presents the experience carried out by a teacher in formation, when using in the classes of History of Cuba historical sources of the locality to contribute to the knowledge of the historical personalities. As a result of the consultation with various sources, a web page with the title "Historical footprints of my locality" is produced, which is novel and serves as a reference material for students and teachers of the school and for the community, as it contains information on the Strips and monuments of the municipality of Pinar del Río.
