Abstract

In the present article some ideas about gender are explored, which contribute to clarify the perspective of analysis regarding the situation of Cuban women. It also addresses the changes in the world capital system, its impact on Cuban society and the transformations in the Cuban model of socialist transition. From this framework, the advances and challenges that Cuban women face today are discussed.
