The article addresses the issue of the national identity of Cubans and Americans, from their self-image. It was an investigation carried out with 100 university students from Cuba and 100 from the United States, in the period between January 2016 and July 2017. Semantic differential, drawings and interviews were used as techniques to triangulate the information. The drawing was the technique used. The results show the coincidence between the self-images of each national group.
