This article shows the experience gained in advisory processes to develop the strategic planning process in CNA. The different actions carried out are presented, as well as the instruments used, which facilitated the incorporation of a strategic approach to the management of these new cooperatives and the use of strategic planning tools. This allows these organizations to direct actions towards their own strengthening, boosts their growth and encourages their adaptation to changes in the environment. Specifically, the methodology for conducting the strategic diagnosis is shown, the results of which serve as the basis for the elaboration of a strategic plan in these Cuban organizations; which constitutes the objective of the work.
