This article examines the relationships between local television and community cultural development in the Cuban municipal space. For this purpose, the debates and challenges of the current Cuban context concerning communicative and cultural policies are reflected. It focuses on the relationships between the management of community cultural development and the management of local television and the main lessons learned, certainties, opportunities and challenges that derive from the analysis carried out. The study presented contributes to a better understanding and analysis of the communicative and cultural processes in the territories, and to a greater contribution of local television and cultural management to local development. Finally, there are some considerations necessary for the development of interrelations between the institutional management of culture and the management of television that takes place in Cuban municipalities.
