Resumo

This article reflects on the different elements that make change a necessary mechanism in universities. The analysis is carried out through the importance of students' mastery of skills for their professional future. It also makes reference to a field study carried out at the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) with the purpose of promoting modifications that allow improving the educational process and the work performance of the graduates.
