The role played by families in education is a highly topical subject, which is why more and more social scientists are studying it. This paper theoretically analyzes some of the major pieces of research into it carried out in Cuba. They have evolved, with them including various variables which influence ways in which today’s Cuban families raise their children. However, they need to be updated in accordance with multiple changes occurred both at a macro-social level and within families in the last few decades.
